On June 25th, 2023, the El Paso community had the privilege of witnessing their inaugural urban drum line performance. The highly-anticipated event, called Rythem in Step, was masterminded by Christian Brown, with the aim of providing elementary school students a remarkable platform to explore their passions for music and dance.

The talented youngsters of the Rhythm in Step drumline convene twice a week at a local park, immersing themselves in the foundational principles of rhythm and choreographed dancing. This regular practice empowers them to develop their skills and proficiency in both disciplines.

The formation of the Rythem in Step Group stems from a desire to foster personal growth and self-expression among diverse children. As one member of the drum line poignantly expressed, "I finally have the opportunity to showcase my genuine passion."
